   Just thought I'd share my excitement with you.

Today while I was looking for my albino cory that I haven't seen for 2 days I moved the cave in my aquarium and this little "thing" came shooting out from between the gravel. Well it turns out that it was a baby guppy and I "saved" it from the waiting jaws of one of my neon tetra's (lucky bugger)! I'm guessing that there were more, but they probably got eaten.

I've had my guppies for about 5 months now and I thought that they would never have fry. I suspected that the female was pregnant but then one morning she seemed really skinny and I didn't see any fry so I just assumed the she had overeaten or something.

I'm so excited! I'm a grandma (gosh I feel old! LOL)

Hey!!!! congratulations lol, its always great first time, odds are there are a few more, guppies are pretty adept at hiding, and it will soon grow, always best to have some plants whether real or plastic for that reason alone,if its still in the tank be careful when you do the water changes......

Thanks a lot! My little sister (for some reason) decided to put him back in with the "big fish" so I lost him for a while (I thought they ate him  ) but I found him again this morning so he's safe  !

You're guppies are so cute. I can't wait for my next batch of fry. I went out and bought my nursery tank last night. I was so excited to get it that I locked myself out of my car!

I can totally relate. At work they must think I ma crazy. The kids don't but some of the parents I am not sure of. 8 of my fry went to a new home last Friday :( :D :| (I am happy and sad and well I am not sure- They will be taken care of I know and I can see pictures of them :D ). I have 5 more from the first batch going to a new home possibility this week. I am not sure. Then two of my new fry are spoken for when they get bigger.

I am so excited still. It is so cool to watch them grow. I am like a little kid when it comes to the fish (as well as my other animals).

I hope you can post pictures soon.

Glad to hear your little guy is O.K.

    Keep in touch.
