Well i'm almost sure that one of my guppies is pregnant but i hav other fish in the tank so i know that the fries won't be safe.

what can i put the fries in and for how long until they can go in the tank with their parents?

they have breeding nets for guppies.....the parents will immediatly try to eat the fry, so the fry shouldnt be with the parents when they are born.

How can i tell when the time for the guppy to give birth is a few if not a day away?

well usually the in pregnant guppy's stomach, u can see all of the fry through her. that is a good sign she is getting ready to give birth.

well the female guppy might not be eating and she might be staying in one spot in the tank, moving really slowly.....

THERE is a spot on the female guppies stomach called a gravid spot the bigger and darker it gets bigger that means she will give birth very soon.
