i accidently steped on Max...and tripped by him
and he is hissing and growling at me now...and he is limping now and he is not putting any weight on his back left foot. he keeps it up when walking. i called the vet and she said to bring him in for xrays. there is no way i can take him right now..i have my 2 kids and 2 other kids i am babysitting.
i just wanted to know..can i tell by touching..if it is broken or not?
if it was broken...is it fixable??
also..if it was broken....is it ok to wait until tomorow..cuz the vet closes in few hours.
he is walking now...climbing stairs and jumping over baby gates. he just doesnt put any pressure on it.

plz plz help if u have any idea..i am sooooooooo worried about him

i called my sister to come and stay with the kids and booked an appointment after 2 hours. he is starting to put a little weight on it, but still limping. he is walking around and going up the stairs and down..and eating his food...so i guess it is not hurting too much.
he is being very affectionate right now. all of the sudden he wants to be on my lap all the time. i am giving him lots of petting and treats.
i really hope that it is not broken

    i feel horrible :(

It's good that you're taking him in. Keep us posted on the x-ray results. Hopefully it was only his pride that was hurt!

Well I hope that he's ok.

Don't feel bad - it was an accident. I've tripped on the occassional cat in my house and apologized dearly for days!

    Keep us posted.

I'm so glad your kitty is okay. I have also accidently hurt my kitties by stepping on them but fortunately they were okay, too.

I had a kitty one time named Smokey that wouldn't walk on one paw so we took him to the Vets and they wrapped it up to keep him from bending. That only lasted a few days. He couldn't stand it and either got it off himself or we took it off. I can't remember. Anyway, He was okay after that.

It was good that you took him to the Vet's to make sure everything was all right.

OH my, the poor baby. I can just imagine how you feel. I'm so relieved to hear that he's ok. You did the absolute right thing by getting him to the vet as soon as you could. Good on ya

Hi. I'm glad he is okay. It's good you took hi to the vet. Did this happen, because you took the bell off and couldn't hear him? I hope not. :( You mentioned before that you are always worried that you might step/trip on him without the bell. Is he just always at your feet?
