Does your kitty drool?

Mittens was on my lap earlier while I was typing on the computer. I was petting her and noticed her drooling.

She does that alot when she is purring and being petted. I think it is so cute.

Do your kitties drool?

 

my existing cats don't but my Sessy did.
I read once it's related to nursing...so when they are in a loving mood - purring, making bread, etc. they might drool.
I think it's cute

 

My grandmother lives in the mountains in Wyoming and they have 2 big fat "attack cats" that live outside as mousers. Every now and then, one will sneak in the house or gram will let them in for a bit to warm up. They are VERY sweet kitties, but for the most part don't get as much daily attention as the dog becuz they are outside cats and they wander around the yard and do their own thing. While i was up there, a couple times one of the cats would slip inside and i would sit them in my lap and brush them. They would start drooling like CRAZY for all the attention. And when i say drool....i mean DROOL like a bull dog with thick long strings of slobber!!! LOL.,.....it was kinda gross, but funny :mrgreen:

lol! Such a funny post. One of my cats I have noticed drooling when she is getting really into the pets.

 

Lizzy used to drool really bad. Toonces also drools sometimes and she'll shake her head and splatter me with kitty slobber.

And one time we had to give Emily some worming medicine. She bit down on it (it's extremely bitter) and she started foaming and had big long strings of drool rumming down her chin. Romeo did the same thing when the vet tried to give him amoxicillin once, but his drool was pink.

I've seen Tiddy drool. It seems to happen when he's really really relaxed. I have'nt noticed any of my other cats ever do it though.

 

Pumpkin is our drool meister, especially in bed. Unfortunately, she drools from both ends. :shock: :mrgreen:

 

I can't actually recall any of my cats drooling. The only time I see anything like that, they had just drank water.

 

My kitty Gracie drools when she's relaxed. She likes to sit in my lap while I write stuff or whatever, and so my handwriting is always awful because she's rubbing on the pen, and then there's kitty slobber on the paper because she is so content.

 

yes when she wants her dry food she has a droplet of drool hanging from her mouth when purring. it's cute.

 

well only one of my cats ever drooled..but it was bc she had a tumor in her mouth...and sadly we found out too late to do anything about it

I have friends whose kitty drool...it's sooo funny, when you start petting him he drools and drools!
