    hello,
i recently (9 days ago) found three kittens outside, with no mother in sight, i asked around the neighbourhood if anyone was missing a pregnant.. or not so pregnant cat...with no luck i took them in. after taking them to the vet, i was told they were about 2 weeks old...making them now around 3 wks.. i was wondering how often kittens should poo, i've been stimulating them, and at times they go three days without anything, they pee all the time, but no poo. when it finally does come out, its hard and dry and a yellowish brown... is this normal?
thanx to anyone who can help ...

at three weeks the babies should still be on mothers milk. their poo should be quite liquid as that what their bulk diet is (should be) sounds like you are feeding them mushed up cat food?

you can get cat milk at vet stores and a little bottle to feed them with too.

they should be able to eat wet kitten food. The fosters I have (also motherless) were about 4 weeks old when I got them and they were eating wet food fine. Yes they still wanted to nurse (have kitten hickeys on my arm) but they've done fine with food.
You could try mixing a little Karo corn syrup in with the KMR to see if that helps the bowels out. Once they are eating some wet kitten food you'll notice a change - STINKY

I've only handled kittens that were 5 weeks old. I'd give them KMR + canned kitten foods 3x a day, water bowls and kitten dried foods available 24/7. I started mixing the dry foods with some KMR or water until they got used to the texture. After a few meals, they got used to having dry foods 24/7 but they'd still got their canned foods and KMR.
