well i've been looking around to get a new pet. (small pet) and 4 a while i thought about getting a fish but then started looking @ frogs. then after reading various articles on both and i got the idea to get both. although the articles had many types of fish i could put with various types of aquatic frogs i was wondering if any 1 here had any experience or advice on it b4 i make any final decisions.

any advice or help is appreciated. thankz 4 reading! ^_^

Large frogs like to eat small fish, and large fish like to eat small frogs... so you need to be careful.

    But first things first:

    1) What size aquarium do you have/will you be getting? If you're trying to feature both frogs and fish, it'll need to be pretty big tank -- at least a 20 gallon LONG, or 29+ gallons.

    2) Do you have any species in mind for either frog OR fish? The easiest way is to pick something you like, and find something else that is compatible.

There are only 2 kind of fully aquatic frogs commonly available. African dwarf frogs and african clawed frogs.

Dwarf frogs only get around 1" - 1 1/2" and can be kept with many small, peaceful community fish but will get eaten/killed by larger, more aggressive fish. Clawed frogs get around 5", need a fairly large tank (at least 10 gallons/frog) and will eat many smaller community fish.

i was thinking about getting a few african dwarf frogs. a few people suggested goldfish but told me they could get bigger than the frogs and eat them or they could be 2 small when i stick them in there and the frogs would kill them. so i was hoping sum 1 here knew of a different fish that would be good. i don't know 2 much about fish so..i'm clueless. ^_^

Yeah, goldfish wouldn't make good tankmates for dwarf frogs. The frogs won't eat the goldfish (unless your talking really tiny goldfish fry) but the goldfish very well could eat or injure the frogs.

    How big is your tank?
