    Jungle Labs Fungus Clear

I’m using a medication in my tank to clear up a bacterial problem. The med is called Jungle Labs Fungus Clear. My question is will this medication destroy all of my beneficial bacteria?

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Jungle Products. I much prefer Mardel. I know Mardel products don't harm the biological filter, but I'm not sure about Jungle products.

Either way, it would be a good idea to closely monitor your ammonia, nitrIte and nitrAte readings just in case since most illnesses have at least some root in water quality.

Out of curiosity, what problem are you having? What makes you think it's bacterial?

I had 3 otherwise healthy fish die suddenly. The symptoms were weakness, trouble swimming and lack of appetite. There were no external signs of illness. I first tried putting salt in the water but that didn't help. I posted in some other forums and alot of people seemed to think it may be a bacterial problem. I don't know what else it could be.

That medicine is more for external infections (like white patches).

Have the sick fish had any red streaks (especially in the fins)? Or stringy white feces? Either of those could indicate an internal bacterial infection.

None of the fish had any red streaks, etc. They looked normal. That's why I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Anyway, I've had no more deaths and all of the fish look and act fine.
