well he is not doing any better I'm sad to say the speical diet food that he was on he stoped eating altogether so I put him back on the food he was eating befor the speical food.

he will only eat very little of his old food that I can see
he is now all bony down by his rear, he still has his belly fat the the rest of him is thinning out very quickly
i feel so bad for him
I don't know if he is in any pain or not

he goes in for more blood work next Thursday
If it comes back worse that the last time that I will have him put to sleep

it is so sad to think that his life of 13 years is now coming to an end this will be my last christmas with him & it breaks my heart because he was the first gift Scott ever gave me

    well on to the pictures

Those are beautiful pictures. I really do wish him all the best. It breaks my heart to hear he's not well. Should you decide to have him put to sleep, keep in mind that a lot of vets will come to your home. That way he will be in the comfort of his home with the people that love him. Makes me sad to think about it.

I'm getting worried he is not eating

I have not seen him eat for 3 days now
I found a spot of throw up with the dry food so he is still trying

any Idears on helping him eat???
I have raised up the food

his water dish has to be filled to the tippy top or else he won't drink

    he is still acting normal
he jumped up onto the counter last night looking in the sink, as for what he was looking for I haven't a clue :?: he is washing & his eyes look clear
he will not touch his moist food
& he is still useing the litter box

we weighted him today & it says that he is still 10 LBS he must of been over weight befor because he st so thin now you can feel his hip bones down by his bottom now
any Idears on getting him to eat more?
    thanks
    Kathy

Poor guy. Have you tried soft cat food? Maybe something tasty like fancy feast?

Hi Kathy, sorry to hear Taz isn't eating well.

I found this website that may be of use to you http://www.felinecrf.com/
This page is all about what to feed your cat and how to get him to eat something http://www.felinecrf.com/managd.htm

Maybe Taz was looking in the sink for running water? Perhaps you could get a cat water fountain, my boyfriend went out and got one for our cats when one of them was sick and dehydrated and Bones (the one with kidney disease) loves it - although they were all scared of it for about a week because the pump makes a little noise.
Bones always drinks from the top of the fountain, and he has another water bowl that he'll only drink from if its full right to the top, just like your Taz.

I hope he feels a bit better soon, he is a beautiful boy :m29:
