I was wondering if anyone has any information about Excersise Induced Collapse.
I have a 5 year old Border Collie who has been diagnosed with this ( 3 years ago) however he seems to be collapsing more frequently in less amount of time.

Im worried about him and am having a hard time finding more out about this condition.
    Thank you

exercise induced collapse in a Border Collie

Please do not let the B/C do alot of hard exercise. My border died last sunday. The vet said she was fine except the heart murmer and it was bad. She has always had trouble with over exercise and over heating. She has had many seizures since she was 7 weeks old and never could find the exact reason. This casued her to have the murmer so they say. She died as I said a week ago today and had not exercised at all that day and quiet day of laying around on a Sunday. She was my everything and that's how I ended up on here, I am looking at maybe getting another one. I love Border Collies she was 9 years old. She was perfect~ yet some are night mares.
Anyway back to yours, ask the vet if she has a heart problem. Be careful of exercise, just a little at a time. You have to be the one to make them rest. They will play or work themselves to DEATH They are such a driven dog. Even in the winter, she could get so tired and just fall down if she was playing ball and I did not watch or went in the house for a min. she'd find someone to throw that darn tennis ball for her.
GARD YOU PRECIOUS DOG AND MAKE HER REST.
    BEST OF LUCK TO YOU.
