Our kitty is not well...what could be wrong?

Our cat, Miles, has been not eating or drinking or pooing for the last 36 hrs. or so. He's inactive, seemingly depressed, and when I try to force feed him water and antibiotics, he makes himself salivate/foam to spit it all out. I think he wants to drink water since he walks to his water bowl and hoovers his head over it for many minutes but doesn't drink any...and he justs stays there looking somewhat tired. He's gotten xrays and stool tests (he has tapeworms, but vet said it shouldn't be the cause) but nothing, now he's gonna get blood work and an ultrasound done. At first I thought he had eaten his fabric toy, which is still a possibility, but I'm worried just not knowing what's wrong with him. He's not hiding as much, and when I call his name he responds by moving his tail..this is making me think he's gonna be alright, but still...I'm a wreck. Any advice, similar stories, help?

 

does your cat go outside? And if so has he had a feline leuk vaccine?
I ask cause years upon years ago, before the vaccine was available, the cat I grew up with did very similar things. She'd hang her head over the water bowl but couldn't/wouldn't drink. It was horrible.
I'd ask the vet about testing for feline leuk....I'll keep my fingers crossed that isn't it

 

When my cat had Hepatic Lipidosis, he also had some kidney issues. He did the same thing. The hanging of the head and extreme weakness, and depression. The Vet said the head hanging symptom (in my cat) was due to low Potassium. He prescribed a potassium gluconate supliment that comes in a paste. The Vet should be able to tell you after a complete blood panel is done.

 

Did you Vet give Miles an x-ray to see if there are any obstructions?
