I'm going to be moving to a new home in about a month, and need advice on the best way to transport my fish. I have glass cats, dwarf Australian Rainbows, silver mollies, and a 7 inch chinese algea eater. I've done this before, but it was a long time ago, and I can't remember the details.

Would it be best to bag them individually, placing the bags in an insulated cooler? If I remember right, that's the way we did it in the past, and it worked out well. And I think we stopped half way, opened the bags to allow fresh air exchange.

    Any other suggestions? Tips?

That's what I would do with the smaller fish. But with that algae eater, I'd probably get a small cooler or bucket with a tight fitting lid and fill it with water and transport him that way (large fish tend to have stronger fins that can rip holes in plastic bags - had it happen with both a 5" con and a 10" oscar).
