We bought a Shorkie in December...right before we got TONS of snow! We are doing puppy kindergarten and are pretty happy. Seems our little Maggie is a little hard headed and wants to do things her way. She is as cute as they get and don't want to be a push over and let bad habits form. Any tips are appreciated. Also...anyone else feed their dogs too many treats???? Boy is that a tough one to stop! :D

~Congrads on your new family member. I too have a Shorkie her name is Shu Shu....~

~Shu Shu can be a bit stubborn too...I think it must be a breed characteristic. She wants things done HER way! As far as tips etc I would suggest getting her into basic puppy obedience at your local Pet Smart etc....its fun and helps get the basics down. I myself took a few classes and now Im a pro and have trained neighbors and friends dogs. I also use Clicker Training...google it...it works! I would get this under control while she is young though because as they get older they are still trainable but can be stuck in their ways. Would love to see pics since most Shorkies do NOT look alike~
