her eyes have been dilated for weeks. They don't go back to normal hardly at all - so vet check time. Vet started with her teeth. They weren't bad but we scheduled a dental in case there was an infection going on which might have affected her eyes some how. Yesterday she had the dental and they had to remove a tooth that didn't want to be removed. Abcess but the tooth was stuck good and they had to cut it out. My poor baby!!! They gave her metacam as a painkiller which I will only use as a last resort for her and clini something for an antibiotic. Strong stuff both of them. She doesn't feel good and she's horrible to medicate. If her eyes don't start to show some improvement after the holidays I'm taking her to a kitty specialist in southern NH that does eye exams on cats. This dental set me back quite a bit (luckily my vet lets me pay weekly). I have no idea what a cat optomitrist will charge but I think I'll have to refinance my house
Tilly stole Missy's bed last night (Tilly has 2 beds, Missy prefers this one). And Molly took the other catbed. I'm waiting for Molly to start meowing at some point - cat bed, cat toys, loves the cats. She's got the ears for it!

Oh, hugs to you and Missy. The poor girl. Hopefully she'll be okay without the pain meds and her eyes get back to normal on their own.

Poor Miss Missy. :( I'm sure she's in pain after her extraction. Too bad she won't take her pain meds. It would be wise to finish up the antibiotics, since she did have an infection. Let us know how she's doing. I hope her dilated eyes are not from something serious, like retinal disease, brain tumor or blood clots in the brain. I hope you find out soon what is causing this. You're such a good Mom to your fur kids, Mary_NH.
