the world's best dog to test fosters....... been really really busy this summer. Too many cats and not enough fosters. Of course Molly helped turn every foster into a dog-loving cat.
Sadly those days are gone. Gone are the moments of having Molly lay down on the floor and letting a new, nervous foster sniff her over. Then the foster deciding 'hey dogs aren't so bad"
I lost Molly 3 weeks ago. She turned 6 on 7/5
It's been a hot summer so when we took her for walks it seemed to take her a long time to recover but we put it down to heat. One day we had the AC on and although she hadn't been for a walk she was panting/breathing heavily.
Turned out she had lymphoma with a large mass embedded her her lungs. Got the diagnosis and 4 hours later we were holding her while she was being sent to Rainbow Bridge.
This is Molly with my previous foster, Gracie. Gracie was adopted by 2 veterinarians a few days before Molly was sent to the Bridge. The vets (
husband/wife) saw these pictures of Gracie with Molly on the website and knew she was the kitty for them as they have a dog.
Molly was instrumental in many fosters getting homes cause I knew they were okay, or not okay, with dogs.
My current foster Mandy is going home to a dog. Luckily the people aren't far away and they brought their own dog to meet her.
Molly didn't live nearly long enough

It seems so unfair that Molly's was taken away so soon. Way too soon. She was one special lady. I will always think of her fondly as will everyone else whose lives she had touched. Her impact in this life will not go unoticed or be forgotten. RIP Molly. *HUGS*
