Since Blood Parrot Cichlids are a man-made cross between a Severum and a Red Devil I guess it's possible to inter breed with another cichlid species.

I just don't know if they would do it naturally.

Some can and some can't. As far as I know, a vast majority of african cichlids can intebreed. If they're in the same group (ie. mbuna, peacock, hap, etc) chances are they can interbreed.

I should warn you though, there is a HUGE controversy about hybrid fish. Many people are very much against it to the point of telling someone who bought a hybrid that they should kill it immediately.

My own personal opinion is as long as the fish aren't deformed in a way that hinders their ability to live a good life (IMO parrots are borderline) and they're not released back into the wild I don't really see much of a problem with it. I don't consider it too different from breeding bettas to have long fins or developing different breeds of dogs.

I think it's interesting to see what comes out of mixes. I currently have an OB peacock (a hybrid) who is holding and I'm pretty sure the father is a kennyi.

Chelle is right, a lot of people will tell you to kill the offsprings of interbreed cichlids.

But i think if they can interbreed then is something that could have happened out in the natural enviroment. The only difference is that we humans accelerated the process by getting to different species in an enclosed enviroment ****

Think about humans, you take some to africa and they end up with monkeys and the famous Mr.Aids

The zebras might interbreed. I'm almost positive kennyi & yellow labs can't interbreed because if they could mine shoujld have done it by now since the dominant male in my tank is a kennyi and so far all of my labs have looked like the male & female labs. I think fish are more likely to be able to interbreed within their genus.

I'm not too familiar with angels. Are black & albino's the same species? If they are then yes, they can definitely breed. If they're different species then the chance of them being able to breed decreases.
