Toughest freshwater fish

If all fish were of equal size. which fish would win? Has any one had any of the toghest in the same tank?

 

i would say the silver tip shark fish

Ahh I see. The "Tip" kinda threw me off. I'm more used to seeing them as Bala Sharks (Balantiocheilus melanopterus)

Most of the sites I've seen about it says that it's semi-agressive and not very territorial

interesting, my friends that have this shark have knoted how it was very territorial and aggressive

 

Probably some kind of large cichlid like a red devil, jag, green terror, or a breeding pair of convicts with eggs.

As bala sharks can grow to 10" I guess if you put them in a tank with not enough room a semi-aggressive fish would become aggressive towards one another over territory.

My bet would be on the African Tiger Fish (although I don't support the fighting of fish in any way)

 

I think the black shark would be the toughest

not looking to fight the fish...i was just wondering if any one had accisently put 2 aggressive fish in the same tank. Why did no one mention piranhas?

If you're talking about this fish:

It's also called a bala shark and most LFS's carry them. But you should be aware that they get about 14", are very active, and need to be in groups of at least 3 so they really aren't suited for anything smaller than a 120 gallon tank.

There is also a silver tipped shark (aka columbian catfish) that looks like this:

It also get's about 14" but as an adult it needs a very brackish environment bordering on saltwater.

definitly a puffer. they're SO ornery, and alot of them are poisonous(tetradoxin)

 

Im gonna say that a goldfish with a giant laser strapped to his head would be the hardiest.
