Worrying mommy already

Ah.. a mommy for just 4 days and I'm already worrying!

Okay... yesterday, Molly decided she was going to jump off of the couch and I think she partly slipped on the pants that I was wearing so she hit her head on the edge of the cofee table :cry:

She was woozy for about 5 seconds, I'd say, but then seemed fine... didn't cry or anything. She's been roughhousing w/Emma as usual but sometimes seems to be so mellow.

Now, I truly don't know if we are just overreacting because Emma is such a little spaz! She's been spazzier (is that even a word?!) than Molly from the start, but the past couple of days Emma seems even more full of energy... now, I wonder if because Emma is so crazy (LOL), that's making Molly look like she has much less energy. Am I making sense here?!

Again, Molly still runs around and plays with Emma like no tomorrrow, but Molly settles down much faster than Emma and I'm probably only noticing it more since she banged her little noggen.

I know puppies are strong little things, but has anyone else had anything like this happen?

They go back to the vet on June 7th, so I'll bring it up for sure... but, in the meantime I'm a worrying mommy! :shock:

I dont think you have anything to worry about. One of my poms is waaaaay more hyper than the other. She could play for 24hrs straight and not blink an eye. The other one has to nap at least 16hr a day!

 

I think Molly is probably just fine! :y_the_best: I remember about a month after Mickey & Tigger came home, Mickey had a good fall, and I mean good fall, onto CEMENT, HEAD FIRST (result of someone not knowing that puppies will wiggle their way out of your arms...BEWARE)...I FREAKED OUT!!! :shock: The poor baby walked in several circles in a very dazed and confused manner before I got to him and picked him up. I was so worried he would start bleeding internally in his head, broke his skull, or whatever horrific thing I could think of. I rushed him to my vet. neighbor next door right across the street, and had him thoroughly checked out. He felt around, looked at the eyes, mouth, legs, tested his reactions, etc., and determined that everything would be okay and that it wouldn't be necessary to bring him in for X-rays. Just had to make sure that he acted fine, and ate regularly. Fortunately, all was fine!!!

But I gotta' tell you though, it scared the living day lights out of me!!! (That one moment is one of the toppers on my list of scariest and most horrifying animal-involving situations! I'm surprised I haven't suffered a heart attack after all those moments...LOL! :lol: )

I'm sure she's fine, she's eating well and going about her merry little way.. it's really mommy who's nervous!

She's eating, playing, sleeping etc. so I really think all is well. I just need to get used to all of this! :?

Something that always makes me worry less is I watch how Riley's acting, like is he still eating? Is he using the bathroom like he suppose to? Is he still acting like he normally does? And if the answers are basically yes then I know he's pretty much okay. But if you're ever still worried call your vet and see what they have to say, thats what they are there for.

Dont worry you're a new mommy just worried about your babies. :wink:

One good thing is that you actually have a more calm one. LOL The more active one, down the road could be the one that hates to sit on laps.
If it makes you feel better, you can get rid of the coffee table for a while or buy baby bumpers. Alot of people put away the coffee table when their human babies are small.
I think she will be fine as long as she is doing the things she should be.
