    Hi everyone!

Feels like forever since I've been here and I feel terrible about that. Along with the girls keeping us super busy, I have had a bad cold since last Sunday. I think being home with the girls 6 days straight and our schedules being so out of whack (getting up during the night etc.) that my body just couldn't take anymore. I am starting to get my voice back (luck for hubby, right?! LOL) today so that's good!

I can't tell you all enough how much I love my girls and how much joy they've brought to our lives. They are all I think about during the day at work and I find myself looking at the clock all the time as I can't wait to get home to be with them.

We are definetly starting to see their personalities. Molly is the "shih" and Emma is the "poo"!!!!

Molly has soft, straight hair and although extremely active she settles down much quicker than Emma and is more laid back. Emma has soft, wavy hair and is such a spaz! They definetely represent both sides of these breeds!

I do have a quick question. We'd like to get them on a regular eating schedule, but we both work 8-5pm during the week. One the weekends, I would like to take their food up when it's not 'time to eat' so that they are no grazing all day but I'm not sure how to do this when during the week will be so different. Any ideas?

I'm amazed that in only 9 short days these 2 little fluff butts have won my heart in a way I can't explain. I just love them so! :love_y_t_much:

I've put these pics in my online album, but thought I'd try to post them seperately... they are too cute for words!

First of all, I hope you fully recover from your cold soon! :(

The pictures of Molly and Emma are simply adorable!!!

I know exactly what you mean about bonding with them in such a short period of time!!! Life just wouldn't be the same without the two of them around! :D

About the feeding schedule on the weekends, do you have them on a schedule during the week days? If so, I would try and keep the schedule pretty close to that. If you are off by a bit, I wouldn't worry about it, just as long as they are being fed regularly and consistently! If you don't have a schedule during the week, I would just start a schedule during the weekends, it should be fine, again, as long as they are being fed regularly and consistently.

I just recently stopped leaving food down all day for Mickey and Tigger, and put them on a schedule as well. There weren't any problems with leaving the food down, it was just that they would hardly ever eat during the first half of the day, but would finish off their food at night, and I didn't want their food getting stale by leaving it down for all that time. So, my vet agreed it would be better to take it up, and recommended feeding them three times a day (two if I wanted, but for the sake of their blood sugar and them being small, offer it 3 times just in case). I put the food down for about 15-20 minutes three times a day, and they have one or two small treats in between feedings. (Of course, their water is left down at all times though!)

I just recently took them off Nutro (gradually) - won't be going back to it, and put them on a different brand which is supposed to be offered 2 times a day, although I offer it to them 3 times, however, I give them no extra food than the stated amount (3/4 - 1 cup/dog). (Just to make it clear, I don't give them 3/4-1 cup each feeding, that amount is for the whole day.)

Well, I have to get back to work, so good luck with your two girls, and hope to hear more updates, and see more pics! :D

Thanks Queenie for uploading the first set of pics.. I didn't upload them right! Hopefully, I did this pic for Emma correctly :D

MyBaby ~ thank you for letting me know what you do for Mickey & Tigger. Right now, we don't have any real schedule. They'll be in the house themselves all day during the week.. so, of course we'll leave food down. But, I wasn't sure if I should do the same for the weekend, or have a bit more structure with their meal times.
