Well........my 14inch Oscar lost the battle!

Well, his HITHwas getting better but i think it was a combanation of his jumping out of the tank and the secondary infection that i didnt catch in time.

Why do fish jump out of the tank? I'm usually in the cat forum and I don't know anything about fish. I was in Petsmart the other day and found 2 live fish on the floor. I made my hubby put them in a tank since the employee totally ignored us and the fish. Also why do people dump coins in water fountains filled with carp? I was in Home Depot last month and saw a dead carp in the fountain. Are coins poisoness to fish? A kitten that swallowed a penny died of poisoning.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I bought my 2 oscars in January and they are only 4 inches, but I love them already. They are like any other pet, so smart. I can't even imagine having one so long to grow so big and to lose it. Again, I am so sorry.

I put a big dictionary over my lid at night, they have knocked the lid open several times in the night before I started doing this. My husband lost an oscar this way years ago.
