It's pretty normal for oscars to sulk when introduced to a new environment. But just to be sure it's not something else, we need to know the tank size, what other fish are in it (& their sizes), and your readings for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte.

When i got my tiger oscar it did the same thing. it just layed around for two or three days. now it is happy and very active, I believe they have to get to know the new enviorment and there new owner. I have added a red belled pacus with the oscar and they get along fine. they also play and know im the boss. hehe! By the way ! my pacus has out grown the oscar but my oscar is the aggressive one . good luck. I hope it comes around.

Sounds like it could be popeye. Does it look like it's bulging out of the socket like this?

    What are your water parameters?

And BTW, are all those fish in your sig in the same tank as the oscar? If they are, you can expect most of them to get eaten eventually.

I would use Maroxy for the fuzz and Maracyn just in case it is popeye (or to at least prevent it).

    What are your water parameters?
