i just got 5 small fresh water shrimp about a 1 inch each. I was wonder all what they need (like food, habitat, ect). I was also wondering if u can eat them?

Jamin, honestly speaking.. I don't think you would be able to eat them. You can feed them foods just like other fishes do.

Feed them those little pellets for cichlids, they will learn to come up for them. Don't eat anything from your aquarium... yuch. Watch out with fishes in the tank as they will become lunch. If you feed them a red or brown pellet, you will get to see them digest their food since they are clear skinned.

    Good luck

usually they eat the food off the bottom of the tank but the habbitat is very important use a broken plant pot at an angle so it has room for the shrimp but not the fish. they will also shed once or twice a month and you need to clean those up
