I will be moving shortly.. I have three very large pet carriers (for dogs), and I was wondering if anyone knew if there was any way I could make the move easier for my cats (which.. btw.. are Trotsky-(Grey male, large head, BIG eyes, half persian half himilayan) Swiss- (same breed as Trotsky, except he is grey and white with blue eyes and always sticks out his tongue) and Lucky Ham Ham - (he's very very...... how do you say.. special? Slow.. poor thing.. he's orange, one of the other males is his daddy and he is half mixed.. well might as well call him gently stirred breed.. ) He's lucky because after Fuu Fuu had her kittens, she had one stillborn hours and hours after the litter... -I named him Cheese- and then a day later came Ham Ham.. a little worse for the wear mentally but he's my sweet baby :)... Anyway.. back to my question.. does anyone think these pet carriers could be used to help in the transition, or should I not box them up for the first day or two?

I only have pictures of them when they were babies (our camera broke :x ) but I am at the library, so I can't post any anyway. I will be getting a laptop soon, so hopefully I will be able to post some then. :)

I've agree with Chessmind on that reccomendation, my grandmothers cats had lived in her house for their entire lives and they moved to the country, after giving her cats Sofie (15 Years old) and Lisa (4 or 5) within an half hour they were relaxed and within an hour you could have givin them a shot and they wouldn't have minded, I ALMOST positive that this is what she used but their is a posibility I might be wrong, her vet had givien her something else and she tested it about a week before the move but didnt like the fact that that it turned them into wet noodles, so thats why she bought this. Good Luck!

Where was this site + Rescue Remedy when I moved from CT to Western NY in '98? Kou, I love your kitty names. LOLs. We loaded our cats Pumpkin + Monty Boy in our minivan and basically let them roam free. They were stressed + preferred to stay in our enclosed huge litter box until we came to rest stops. They loved the ice water since we were driving in mid August. I wish we had huge pet carriers for them. I would've thrown in some soft comfy baby blankets and their favorite toys. Good luck on your move. I hope it'll be a shorter distance than our move!

Lynn- While we were driving separately, me in the minivan, hubby in a big truck, some stupid stunt bird crashed into the truck and died instantly. We pulled over and my hubby cried like a baby. I've never seen him cry, at least not in front of me. God bless that bird. I hope it went into bird heaven. I wonder if Pumpkin ever got a kick out of that one. We drove by Syracuse where Pumpkin was born and she went nuts. She started smelling the vents and pawing it like crazy. Then she said meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow real fast. She actually recognized her birth place! Pumpkin was fine with the move but Monty developed a very dry flaky nose. I think he was dehydrated and super stressed.

well...i wonder if i can just give that rescue remedy to max every day...just slip a little in his food...or better yet...continuous iv....

wish i could say i was kidding too.....
    i am going crazy...

 he is literally climbing the walls...he is so hyper

he needs to be neutered...getting more aggressive and cant bring himself back down. kept attacking me last night. its like he is jekyll and hyde. one minute so loving the next minute....MONSTER :x

i plan to talk to both of his vets today or tomorrow.

and vene...as we like to say...no coincidences. but...my bf is the same way.
