Hi everyone. :D I like to go home on my lunch break. When it came time to go back to work, Romeo and Juliet seemed so sad to see me go. So, I decided to take them to work with me for the rest of the day. They spent their time in my office and when all the patients left, I let them run around all over. I only took one pic of them, but here they are inspecting one of the dental rooms. They had so much fun racing all over the place. They just love going to new places.

Mary_NH: They were very needy. There were some super cute healthy kittens at that shelter. Everyone was paying attention to all of those cute ones. Poor Romeo and Juliet were so sickly and not so very cute looking, that they were both ignored by all of the visitors. I'm so glad they are both healthy and happy now.

Halaroo: I think Juliet may turn out to look a lot like Olive. What do you think?

Vene and Lunaguy: Like Halaroo mentioned, it's never too late to harness train. Romeo and Juliet just come up to me when I hold up their harnesses and just sit there and let me put it on them. They know that 'harness' means 'outside fun' or 'going to new fun places.'

Footsie: LOL. He does look like Tom! I never would have thought of that. He sure acts like Tom.

MyBigFunny: Well, at least you get to use the work computer. It's always nice to see you post.

Lynnhaz: Thanks. Romeo is 11 weeks and Juliet is 10 weeks (so they said at the shelter, anyway).

Rene, Lucidity, Honeybears and Wtpooh, thanks for all your kind words.

Thanks Lynnhaz. :D Romeo is very brave. He's not scared of new people or places. Juliet is getting so much better. The first time I saw her at the shelter she was so scared of people. She would hiss if you tried to touch her. When I got them to the house, I just left her alone. I didn't try to pet her or pick her up. She was just so terrified of humas. After about 12 hours of me pretending to ignore her, she soon came up to me. Then I was able to pet her and she just got her purring motor started. She has the cutest purr. After 16 hours she had been to the vet and had to see other people and was very sweet. She's still a little shy at first with people she doesn't know, but she's so much better. She's come a long way. I think harness training her and basically having to meet all kinds of people on a regular basis have made her less shy more quickly. They just woke up, so I'm going to go play with them now.

How cute. I would be more excited to go to the dentist if I knew there were kittens there. Every office should have them. LOL.

I would love to go to the dentist if he had cats running around too. Chessmind - you should spread the word at your next dental conference!

When I first saw the picture of Juliet on the bed looking at the camera I thought she looked exactly like Olive as a kitten. She's going to be gorgeous when she grows up! I'll see if I can find any pictures of Olive as a kitten to show you.

Looking at these pictures and hearing your stories makes me want to go out and adopt another one. I wish I could right now but I'm so scared of upsetting Moe. She's my girl and I would hate her to feel bad about sharing her home. She deserves all the happiness in the world. I just don't know what to do.

    Those are great names!

It's so wonderful that you did that. I know how it is...adults and sickly looking animals are the ones always to be ignored and put down first. So sad. You've saved their lives!

Just wondering: What is harness traing...how do you do it? Does taking them outside make them more prone to run away? I was thinking of taking Bobo and Smokey for walks but the fear of them getting to comfortable out and wanting to get out every chance they have.
    Thanks

I had a wisdom tooth pulled about a month ago. I would've LOVED to have a cat around to ease my tension. I know that after a stressful day, coming home to my cats eases everything a little bit. I can't image how much it would've helped when I was in the chair!!

Bellack - I just sent you a private message about harness training. Here's a picture of Moe in her harness (it's easier to see her harness than Chessmind's babies, since it's purple):

Thanks everyone. :D As for having kittens at the dental office, I don't let them run around all over when patients are there. Not everyone likes cats/kittens. I let people bring their dogs if they want. If they wanted to bring their cat, that would be fine too, but I don't know anyone who does this.

Halaroo: Perhaps you could get a baby boy kitty. Moe might be upset for a week or two, but I think she might enjoy his company after a while. I'm glad you think Juliet looks like Olive too. Yes, please post pics of her as a kitten if you have some pics.

Lynnhaz: Yes, they have rebounded very well, thanks to good vet care, good Wellness food and of course lot's of love and attention always helps kitties recover well.
