Well I rescued a kitty awhile ago but my new apartment where i am moving cross country to in two months will not allow me to have that many animals in my house. I am looking for a good home for him if anyone is in the area. He is an absolute sweetheart...VERY loving...gets along well with dogs of all sizes (dont know about other cats) Awesome lap cat...cant get enough of laps. Loves strangers and just all around very very friendly cat. Perfect cat =) He is about 3...fixed and is a snowshoe siamese color. He could be purebred but he was just a rescue kitty. Big brown splotch on his nose...so adorable and he is kinda on the smaller side..maybe 8 to 9 pounds. Let me know if you know anyone. I will be willing to donate $50 to get the new owners started with new supplies and food.

if he is a snowshoe siamese you can post him on the SiamList at http://www.siameserescue.org
the cat must have blue eyes in order to be posted there

Well I am moving two hours away from Chicago. I haven't thought any about how a cat would make a road trip. Thank you for the siamese rescue link..I will look into it. Unless its possible for a mutt to have the same colorings and markings and face shape and eye color as one of those guys....hes one of them =)

Thanks vene. Its so sad to even think that people could do things like that to animals. I guess they like to feel they have control over their lives but that is the exact thing that makes me want to help them and they return your love! :y_the_best:

Is there any news about the kitty??

I apologize for the delay in reply as I have been out of town. Still searching for a good home for the kitty. I have two weeks until the big move

Well two weeks isn't very long to find a good home. Let me know if you can't find anyone and we can work something out.

    cat road trips

I took my cat from San Diego to Seattle and from Seattle to Long Beach within the last few of years. they dont travel as well as dogs but if you either keep them in the kitty carrier (obviously taking them out for potty and love)or set up a spot for them to look out the window comfortabley (personally my little man loved to sit in a laundry basket filled with blankets and safely on the seat to stare out the window. they do pretty well. you can even find pet acceptable hotels so at night they can get out and stretch thier legs and wander around a hotel room.

I think any move is hard on animals and every time ive done it my kitt pee'd on something other than the little box we set up for him, but its worth it to get him somewhere he/she will be safe and loved. :p
