 Hello, Just wanted to say i am new here and a little nervous. I have a lovely cat which we call evie cat and she is about 1 year 10 months and we rescued her from the RSPCA. We also have 3 hamsters as well, 2 baby dwalf hamsters which live together and one syrian hamster. We have to keep them in a seperate room due to our cat though. Well don't really know what else to say apart from hello :)

Hi, congrats on your new addition. Do you have any pics of your furbabies and what are their names? My Milo couldn't care less if we had rabbits in the house. But they are fair game outdoors. It's good to keep Evie cat away from the hamsters. You never know what might happen otherwise.

Hi. Welcome to Auspet. :D When I was a kid we had all kinds of animals, but I had a very special kitty that I had for 20.5 years, as well as two dwarf hamsters. She knew she was not allowed to touch them or hurt them in any way. We would let the two hamsters run around the house and she was so good about leaving them alone. You could tell she would have loved to pounce on them, but she never did, because she knew they were apart of the family. Her best friend was a dwarf bunny. They would hop around in the yard and sleep together. It was so cute! I have some great memories of all of my fur animals.

    Hello Rosie and welcome!

You have found a great site here. It's always nice to hear of a cat that was rescued. How long have you had Evie?

Hi Rosie, I'm a newbie too, also from the UK, also with a black cat - well two black cats actually both rescued one abandoned and the other found as a tiny kitten in the bottom of a mill pit almost dead. Also have two dogs and chickens, ducks and lambs! Where about's (roughly) in the UK are you? I'm in North Yorkshire. This is a lovely site with very friendly and helpful people on it, I was very pleased to find it and get some really good help and advise with my pregnant cat questions!!

    Best wishes
    Annie :)
