I had one common goldfish (about 3 inchs) left in my 10 gallon (thank god) after beaing dumped with all theese carnval fish and its up and disappeared... I checked the filter for fish parts and loosk behind every plant... ive torn the tank apart and the goldfish has just vanished. I asked my bro and parents and they havent touched the tank so im baffled.. has this ever happend to anyone? Unless the 1 white cloud in their has a big appatite he couldn't have been eaten.

 Where's a mod when you need one

Lets try to keep it civil guys.

And yes Obelix, I have had fish disappear on me before. Not sure where they vanish to unless it's into the filter...

Don't be mean guys.. but back to the point, I have fish disappearing too! My only guess is that the goldfish died without you knowing it and decomposed.. Perhaps you may check the sand and there may be bones.. Sad for your fish  Best of luck..

i had a guppy diapear, and a tetra, but i found the tetra's bones.

It was very odd, never found the guppy, it was a lyre tail.

    Im back

I have been away for three weeks and boy was it nice at the beach. Let me remind everyone that this is a family forum and all language must be respectful and curteous. Failure to do so will result in suspension of your ip from the forum. okay, enough of that...

Yes, sometimes fishes will seem to vanish into thin air. They are quick to decompose in such warm water. It's kinda sad.

DITTO. I generally check the forum late at night local time here. I have tried to be lenient regarding the language and remarks, but it is getting out of hand. Thanks Hooben and welcome back.

thats sad.... but as we already know it jumped out there would have also been the possibity of the fish decomposing into "sand" they decompose into tiny crystals, kinda gross cleaning it out though.

I have lost about 3 or 4 fish in the past and besides 1, found the other 3 next to the tank on the ground as they had jumped out. One must have gained momentum by running up an air flow (the bubbles jetting out of a air stone...i know it is made up, but what else could you call it?) I have a dog as well, so I believe she may have sniffed at or taken the one that I did not find, but who knows!
