Bobo and Max are quite entertaining! I could sit here all day with a bowl of popcorn and listen to their antics! Kittens really know how to get into trouble.

My littlest one, Koby, he does the same thing to the bottle. I just hold the edge of the bottle where he can't reach my fingers. The vet said he does that because kittens kneed at their mother's to get milk from the nipples. I don't know! As Bobo gets bigger he will begin to run and be faster than you may expect.

I tried to change Boomer's litter to the clay fresh step. He didn't like the way it felt on his foot. he stepped in it and shook his foot and stepped out. Once I replaced it with the Yesterday's News, he went right to the bathroom. It is definitely more expensive. I actually paid $12 for a medium size bag. And yes, it can't be scooped. At this point, however, if he'll go in it, I'll buy it.

    GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I fed Bobo and decided to try the tuna thing. He wouldn't eat out of the dish so I tried letting him take it from my hand. Not that either. So I forced it in his mouth and he ate it! After the taste he would take it out of my hand. Then I led him to the bowl with my hand and he started eating out of the dish!!!! I mixed the tuna with KMR and he was licking it up! The only thing is sometimes he would get confused and chew on the side of the bowl thinking it was food- bad idea for your teeth. Well he ate it and enjoyed it I think. After he didn't eat anymore I offered him the bottle and he didnt want it! I also gave him some pedialyte b/c its really hot in this house and I dont want him to be dehydrated.

I'm so excited!!

I also added some friskies but he didn't eat much- he already had his share of tuna.

Is it okay to feed him that much tuna? Next time I'm going to feed more friskies. The tuna should only get his attention right? After he eats that should I still feed him witht he bottle?

    SOOO relieved!

Bellack, you are Bobo are doing well with the weaning process! A little tuna is ok, too much fish is not good for cats of any age. Here's some weaning info:

Thanks Vene that is really helpful.. Bobo is doing well. He is starting to look like a real cat now! His face is getting bigger and his ears and paws larger. He started to jump and run a little. He loves chewing and chasing my hand too. I think I need to get him someone to chew and play with  That will also give him more exercise.

I recieved some bad news today. I found out my great grandma died last night. My grandparents spent all day with her the day before so she had people with her and she said her goodbyes. I'm just really sad I haven't been able to see her in a couple years- she lives(ED) in Upper Penninsula Michigan where I spent my childhood summers. I haven't gone up in the past couple summers. Her health deteriated throughout this year so it wasn't a big surprise but I htought she'd last longer. She was a fighter. She absolutly LOVED cats. SHe had about 4 of them when she lived in a traler in the woods all by herself. She would tell me so many stories about them when I was little- like when they found a chipmunk in the kitchen drawer. I think that finding Bobo just before she died was a gift from her. I also think she will be with this kitty throughout our lives. She'll be with us always. I wont be able to go to her funeral b/c I can't find a way to get up north. Airfare is $600 and I'm not old enough to rent a car. I wish I was. Plus the closest airport to the cottage is 3.25 hours away. She knows I love her and I've talked to her today and she knows I'm sorry. You don't have to go to someones funeral to show how much you care. They knoow.

Sorry for rambling. I'm still in shock. Thanks for listening

I'm so sorry about your great grandma Bellack. My thoughts and prayers are with you. It'll be comforting to think that your great grandma will be watching over Bobo and you. I hope she passed without pain and suffering. It's a blessing that she was with loved ones before she left. You are very mature and I agree that you don't have to be at someone's funeral to show how much you care about them. They just know. You will always share special memories of each other and her place. Take good care of yourself.

    To Bobo and mom

 I'm so very sorry to hear the news of your great grandmother. Please accept my deepest condolences for you and your family. She knows that you loved her dearly and understands the reasoning as to why you cannot be there. She is smiling down on you and Bobo as we speak. Your a wonderful young lady and I admire your courage and strength.

    Thanks guys.

Wow I haven't been on in awhile and these new emotios are awesome! :m25: Theyre sooo cute! :qm4:

Bobo seems to be doing well. Its only3 days until he goes to the vet! He is now pooping in the litterbox without getting it all over him. I think it's b/c he can stand up well.

When I feed him solid foods, I have to bribe him with tuna. I have to put it in his mouth and make him follow my hand to the bowl. It's hard to keep him interested in the food unless I put tuna in it and thats bad for cats :| I've tried the grilled type and chicken egrbers and beef type of friskies and he eats it but I dont think is thrilled with it. How do I get him to be more interested in it without adding tuna? I'm worried he's getting hooked on tuna and giving it to him is bad.

Thanks a lot! Hope to get some advice soon- I have to feed him now in about 5 minutes.

Oh no! I got Bobo addicted to Tuna. How about letting him starve for a little bit? Toddlers will eat when they are hungry!? :qm2:

Well I waited more than 8 hours, about 10 hours and when I fed him he ate it right up! I had to give him a second helping!! And no tuna! I think he has a problem smelling though. When he walks around the house he sniffs things but I dont know if he can smell them or not. It doesn't seem as if he can smell his food. He doesn't eat b/c he cant smell it. When I want him to eat, I have to hold his face near the bowl. Eventually he will lick his lips and when he does he licks the food and eats. I bought him a hooded litter box yesterday. He's not ready for it yet but he will be in a couple weeks. He is officially 38 days old now!! His first shots will be on Thursday. Also his eye looks like it has cleared up.

So everything is looking well!!! The only thing I have left is the evt visits, his neutering, introduciong him to hard food, and getting him a bro or sis!!

    I love these! :m33: :m8: :m9: :qm3: :m10: :m11: :m12: :m4:

I believe Mary_NH mentioned something about putting a dab of food on their noses to facilitate eating. Maybe this will work for Bobo. Just place a dab of food between the nose and mouth come feeding time and see if that works. I'm glad he doesn't need tuna anymore.

Aren't the new emoticons awesome?! Thanks to Nern and Auspetian!!! :m33:

NO I know that doesn't work. I've tried it before. I've found this way to work best.

He's doing great. He's jumping and everytihing.

ps. The vet called and said Pooky's biopsy came back negative. Woh hoo!! :0018:
