Well, Thank you to everyone who responded to my pleas for help with my Sphynx kittens!!

The eye of Hurricane Charley went right over the top of my house. We had a tornado go through our back yard, and had wind gusts of 110mph. We have been without power since Friday, and are expected to be without it for some time to come... 7-14 days. Our neighborhood looks like a war zone. It is very sad.

All of the kitties are doing well! They were pretty shaken up though!

As soon as I figure out how to post pics of my babies here, I will do so. I take tons of pics of my girls!!!

    Thanks again!!

Now I will go to the other post and try to answer all of the questions!! :)

So happy to see that you and the kitties are ok. Hope you folks are insured!

Photoisland is very easy to use. Lots of us use it here. This is taken from Gina H's post:

Good luck! Can't wait to see all your pics!

I am posting from work. I am here with with my two children, as the schools have been shut down, and my sitter has no power.

My workplace only lost power for a day, so it is up and running again! Now the problem is my 8 yr old is running a high fever, and vomitting. I cannot reach his pediatrician because they have no power, so I figured that it would make him feel a little bit better to get into some ac rather than sitting in our hot house....

Please include pics of your kids and the aftermath of the hurricane. I'd love to see. I so sorry your child is sick and can't reach the pediatrician. :( I hope you have good access to grape juice and gatoraid!

I'm glad that you and your family are okay. I'm sorry that your neighborhood looks like a war zone. :(

I'm also glad you and your kitties are okay. That must have been a frightening experience. I feel bad for all the strays and wildlife that had to experience that hurricane. :(

    HI FMGURL AND SPHYNXLOVER

i am familiar with fort meyers...my mom, sister and i go to naples every february. i relate to the destruction. our family home was hit by a tornado eight years ago april. my mother and her two cats were in the house. all survived, but we didnt find punky (the kitten) for about a week. then he just showed up one day in the rubble... when my mom and i were there looking for him. it was a mess though...debris everywhere...no walls standing. hurricanes are the worst. because you have both the winds and the flooding. what a shame :(

you guys are lucky...we are all glad that you made it through and are safe!! :m33:

we survived the hurricane to. we are in Ft Myers but my Grandparents are in Port Charlotte. they lost their house. we just got our power on today so I know how it is not to have power for a while. I hope you get ahold of the Ped. for your son.
