    :? javascript:emoticon(':?') Greetings!
My son brought home a kitten a few weeks ago. The kitten is about 4 months old. Lately he has been peeing in the bathroom sink. Is this normal? He does use his litter box too. He even went in the sink at the vets. All the vet said was "it least he's not doing it on the carpet." Does anyone have advice, should I let him pee in the sink and just keep the disinfectant handy?
    Thanks
    Niketta

The vet did'nt say anything about the possibility of a UTI?
Have there been any recent changes in your household? Stress could cause this behavior which might be why he went in the sink at the vets as well. Maybe you could try adding a second litter box?

I have a full grown cat that pees on the toilet seat. She used to do that before she was spayed, then she stopped after being spayed but has recently started it again. I don't know why she does this. If only it were IN the toilet instead of on the seat. LoL

update on Harley (pee in sink)

Unfortunatly, Harley is peeing more around the house. I wonder why the vet didn't mention the fact that maybe he has an infection. Last night I caught hin 3 different times straining to go and dribbling out a small amount of urine. I plan on taking him back to the vet on monday.

niketta> interesting kitten there lol My Lex used to sleep in the sink at our old home. i'd turn the water on him and stuff but he'd keep going back.

Peeing in the sink isnt so bad, it would be the other thing u had to worry about. i would try spraying the sink with the Keep Away spray to try to deter him.

Harley sounds like he's blocked. Definately get him to the vet soon. they may need to put in a cathiter (sp?) which will force him to go until they can clear the blockage.
