    Hi all

My ringnecks are fighting so badly i have had to seperate them the female has ripped most of the tail feathers out. She has even caused enough damage to the males wing that it was bleeding yesterday. They have been together for about 6 months now what could be the cause in this behaviour.

Hi some female birds become agressive when they are ready to breed and they pluck the males so they can line there nests this is usually the reason birds fight.

I would have an avian vet check her over just to make sure she is not ill.
Have you seen the male trying to breed with the female.

    Hi

Thanx as far as i can tell there is nothing wrong with the female and the male is much younger (only just got his ring) than the female ?? She was pulling his tail feathers out by hanging on them flying off there perch. When she got them out she just left them laying on the floor. :(
The male seems to be fine on his own yet the female is screeching all the time ?
