Just net her, but don't chase her too much, if it takes awhile, back off for a little, then come back and try again

Thanks, because if she got stressed I would freak out.

First YES it was my female who died. She died while she was giving birth. But I knew she was not doing well before she died. It was sad when she tried to give birth to her last fry. She gave me so many fry. She was a good fish.

Secondly; I always used a net and she is normally willing to be caught and put in the breader. I keep her the the same tank (because water temp difference could stress her). I use a breader you float in the tank. she goes and the fry when thay are born will normally go to the bottom (there is a divider you can put in and take out when you take teh mom out to give the fry more room to grow). With my experence my mom would not try to eat them for 1-2 days than I take her out of the breader and back into the tank again.

BUT MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PUT HER IN THE BREADER TO SOON OR SHE CAN GET STRESSED. IT IS BETTER TO LOOK FOR THE SIGNES FIRST OR ONCE YOU SEE THE FIRST FRY.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENS. GOOD LUCK

My big guppy just died last night :( I read that if they are close to giving birth you can gently squeze here and the fry will come out.. So i did that.. I bet over 100 fry came out

Oh no, trust when I say, "I know how you feel." Luckly, none of the females have died for 2 days, at least that is an accomplishment. Does anyone have a picture of what feeder guppy fry look like? I afraid that I won't be able to see them from a birds eyeview (remember that they are in a rubbermaid container/bin and it is not see through) and I will not be in time to remove the mother in time.

Best I can do. They're a few days old and are fancy guppies, but at that stage, fancies & feeders most likely look exactly alike. They're about 1/8".

I would say ur best bet for keeping guppy fry alove would be COVER the top of ur bin with those fry plants of w/e they are called :y_the_best: You will have alot of trouble seeing them i bet

I did the same thing when my mom guppie died but I think that it was also to late. BUT I HAD HEARD IF YOU GET TO HER SOON AFTER SHE DIES YOU CAN GET A FEW FRY TO LIVE.

SORRY ABOUT YOUR GUPPIE. IT IS SO SAD.

Do you have any more females??

I got sort of paranoid about the mothers eating the fry that I along with the plants and decorations, I put this sponge thing. It looks like and is as porous as a filter sponge but softer, it that alright and do you think that will provide enough cover? Oh yeah, and no fry were born, but the I am very happy that none of the females died.
