I've got some terrible news

I thought I'd let you all know that nakoma_star's dog ( Sheeva ) was stolen last night ( 8/20 ). They've called the police and the dog warden so that they are on the look out for her. We will keep you all informed if we find out anything. Please keep her in your prayers. :cry: [-o<

 

Oh no! I hope she can get her back...I will keep you guys in my thoughts.

 

It's horrible how many APBTs are stolen. I had a 4 month old red/red nose pup stolen from my friend's yard in May (the dog in my avatar pic). Then, not very long after that, I saw an ad in the paper where someone else in my area had 2 red nosed APBTs stolen. I wish her the best of luck in finding her dog.

So sorry to hear about your dog....this is terrible that such evil lives in the world.

Living in NYC we are most careful about walking on the lease, strict law on that, but also many times in the park my husband has to be careful, they approach him front and back or along side...dog senses it and sits and won't move making him alert to this immediately..even approached on a bike...but dog is amazing, when she sits he stops short walking and it makes him aware...sacary...they want these dogs for fighting...thats why we can't convince people what wonderful animals they are.

Will keep you in our prayers for her safe return.

Well there is still no news on Sheeva. We've put up pictures everywhere, but no one has seen her. We put one up at our local pet shop and she informed us that a new law was passed in town that if any dog known to have pit in it and is found wondering around is automaticly ( SPELL ? ) put to sleep no questons asked. We now think that sheeva has been taken and put down but we don't know for sure. :x :cry:
