My husband took me out to lunch and when I came back, I noticed a bunch of baby fry swimming at the bottom of my tank, they are still in the main tank with 3 adult female guppies and 6 neons and they are not getting eaten  , I have breeding grass on the bottom as well as some floating on top. I had 3 male guppies, but for some reason they all died, maybe the females ganged up  , but 2 females are still pregnant, none of them looked like they were about to explode, so these babies are a BIG surprise. I will keep posting if more pop out.

Wow thats awesome!!! How long did it take you to get these new babies? How can you tell if the fish is pregnant? Is it really noticeable?

All I can say is I bought the 3 pairs about 3 days ago and she had the babies this afternoon while we were gone, she was already pregnant when I got her, you can tell a female guppy is pregnant when ehr belly starts getting big and that black doe on her gets bigger and even darker.
I just wish I knew what caused the males to die, but that is ok, because I'
m sure I got more out of this bunch, plus the ones that were born a little over a month ago. I have one now that looks lke she is about to explode which means more babies  I was told that a female guppy can carry the males sperm for up to 3 or 4 litters (or what ever they are called), so if that is the case, i should have plenty of babies.

Oh, I have a question, since these little guys and glas are being born in my tank, I put a piece of pantyhose over the filter pump so that none of the babies would get sucked up, is this ok?
