Freckles has an absolutely carefree coat. After we leave the dog park I just towel off both boys. Actually Duke, with that dense undercoat, takes more time to dry that Freckles. He is almost drip/dry. No mats either. I think it comes from his field dog genetic background. Mud also does not stick for long. It towels right off.

He has the same happy look on his face that Rufus gets.

 

gosh, you better watch out, dukesdad.... or I might just slip into texas and steal that dog!! Freckles just gets better and better every day.... (lucky for you and duke, cuz I have allergies, or I WOULD steal him in a flash! hehe)

I wasn't in the water but the camera almost was. To get that low angle I just held my camera just above the water and guessed at the frame direction. Just one of those lucky shots you get now and then.
