    Hi all,

I haven't been around for a while but I's really appreciate some advice. I'm very worried about my 13-y.o. girl Bonnie. She was at the vet a week ago for her annual check-up and the vet noticed a raised lump on her upper right eyelid. I've taken a photo of it below. She pierced it with a fine needle but nothing came out other than a drop of blood. She told us to watch is and it doesn't appear to be any worse or any better. Yesterday I noticed she has a similar mark under her other eye, it's hard to see in the photo but it almost looks like the hair was pulled out there, it's not really raised. She's an indoor cat and hasn't been in contact with any other cats. She is behaving fine but the last few days she hasn't been eating much. Any ideas on what this could be??? I'm already thinking the worst so any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

a wart perhaps? It's quite common in aging dogs but am unsure about cats. My dog has a couple on her tail that look very much like that.

If that's what they are they can be surgically removed. I would opt to have them removed and have a biopsy done...but that's me. This behavior explains why I drive a nearly 5 yr. old Kia Sephia and not a new Lexus

Hi Dolly. It's so good to see you post again. I've missed seeing you here. I agree with Mary_NH about getting a biopsy done. It's always better to be safe than sorry. Especially around the eye area. I have no idea how much a biopsy would cost, so you'll have to call your vet and ask. Another idea is to have a second opinion. Perhaps that vet will be able to give a proper diagnosis as to what it is. Keep us posted and again it's nice to have you back. :D

Thanks for the input, guys...thanks for the kind words, Chessmind :D . Since I posted the message Bonnie is eating well, pretty much her normal amount. I think I will call the vet on Monday and ask about having a biopsy done, I agree it's better to be safe than sorry.
