    Hi...
My one and a half year old maltese scratches the paint off our borders...
any advise please??? I've tried using vinegar and water spray, he will stop for a while then get back to it

    Thanks!

    Hi, and WELCOME!!!

    Try using double-sided tape:

If that doesn't work (although, it usually does), cap his nails.

    :D

(I apologize for my brevity, I don't have much time, and I'm trying to reply to as many posts as possible! )

You're very welcome, glad I could help! Like I said, if the double-sided tape product (that I gave you a link to) doesn't work, then simply cap his nails. However, I should also mention, be sure his destructive behavior is not a result of boredom (not enough exercise or mental stimulation), and/or separation anxiety!

    thanks again!

Yeah I think you're right --- he could be bored... lately I have been working late and just have little time to spend with him....
