HELP PLEASE lethargic Kitten

My cat had 2 kittens 4 weeks ago. The female is doing well. The male isn't I went and started feeding him kitten milk last night. He ate about 2 tablespoon. Now I have been trying to feed him all day today. He won't even eat it now. I have him wrapped up in a towel while feeding. And then I lay him back on the floor with mom. He isn't moving much at all now. When I lay him down he crys and it is a weird cry. Almost like he is in pain. Is there anything else I can do for him?? I hope someone can give me advice. the most important thing you can do is take him to the vet - no advise not knowing what might be wrong. With a baby that young any guesses on advise could be fatal. This baby needs a vet

My mothers cat had a litter of 4 kittens not long ago, now theres only one kitten left, so i can relate to what you are going trough :cry:
In our case i think Fox (the mother cat) didn't have enough milk for her babies. We didn't discover until it was too late b/c they were all nursing even if they didn't get any milk...

Kittens are very vulnerable when they are so small, and i don't think you could have done anything to prevent it *hugs*

After the first kitten died we tried to feed the other three substitute milk, but non of them would take it... Now i just got a call from my mother. She said that Fox has taken the last kitten outside while they were alone in the house. My mom and her hubby has been looking all day, but they can't find them I'm really worried that the little one won't make it through the cold night.

How is your other kitten doing?

so sorry about the baby... in the future tho if anything like that happens again, go to the vet.. dont wait around on a message board for a responce.

Perhaps u should get the other baby looked at by a vet if u havent already to perhaps prevent loosing that one too...good luck hun

I am very sorry to hear about the baby kittie i hope the other one is well. Also I can't help saying this pleaseif you are not a liscensed breeder please have your kitty spaye that way you can assure this will never happen aain. Good Luck. :cry:

Thanks for all the responses. The other kitten (Crook) is doing well. The mother (Trinity) was to be fixed when we found out she was with kittens. She is going to be fixed after she is done nursing this kitten.

So glad to hear the other kitty is doing well...I'm so sorry about the loss of the other....that must have been very difficult for you. Will you be keeping Crook?
