    Its freaky

I heard on animal Planet about these people donating their pets dna or whatever they need for cloning for when the pets die they can have they can have their disceased pet back alive. UGH I just don't think nature should be abused like that its disgusting it just like playing god in Jurassic Park.

I am dead set against pet cloning. The streets and shelters are already over run with homeless pets. Give the gift of life by adopting, not cloning.

You can never replace a lost loved one. The clone may look exactly like the original but it's personality and behavior would be it's own and is dictated by it's momma cat, personal experiences and enviorment.

I think the entire concept is absurd. Just because it can be done doesn't mean it should be done.

its things like this that give the field a bad name. one day cloning, stem cells etc will cure so many diseases but as long as people abuse it no ones going to accept it for proper use!!!

i dont give a rats--hiney about how useful cloning is for living things (stem cells and such dont count) i'm talking about living breath animals.

It's playing God and it's wrong.

what is that guy going on about? my cf drugs are 3.80 each LOL! i cant think of anything cheaper than that. i assume they are also reffering to pancreatic enzymes that are harvested from pigs. well, they work fine coming from a 'natural' pig, so why clone? i also dont believe that mass cloning of animals can cure anything as they are implying. a handful of clones used for research yes, but mass producing to get some sort of protein out of them? no thanks. its creepy enough eating hormone packed chicken.

as i said, if cloning is abused for making 'princess II' and making hundreds of animals with freakishly altered genes, the beneficial stuff will never go ahead.

i agree thers too many homless animals for people to clone one of their pets. if they want another cat they should head for the shelters

I like cord blood donations for research in humans and animals. It's generally discarded anyway and has rich stem cells that is so beneficial to all. There's absolutely no live animal testing. 8)

I didn't even click on the links. I don't want to know. I agree that there are so many homeless cats that need homes.

Why would someone want a copy of their cat when there so many others in shelters they can love and save? Why would anyone want to replace a unique pet family member for the same thing.

Seems to me like it is not fair the the memory of the individuality of their deceased pet!

    I'm with sunset05...........I won't open the links.......I can't read that stuff!!

There is a world full of the most lovable, wonderful pets ready for a good home. There's no need for mass artificial production.
