Chewing

My sisters cat chewed up the handle of our new leather recliner, anything that we can do to stop her from chewing?

 

bitter apple spray...works wonders

 

Get a water bottle and spray her whenever you catch her chewing. I broke Booger from jumping up on our desks and climbing curtains within a couple of days using the bottle. Also, cats seem to like the smell/taste of leather. Try finding her a little leather chew toy.

Dish detergent works too...although I'm not sure if it would ruin the leather or not? Try a spot check first...but it works wonders on chewing on wires..so does tabasco. Good luck! :y_the_best:

 

i've seen sprays in the pet stores that is something to use to keep them off of things. i tried just water on kiefer...he just looked at me like i was stupid....he began to love it. to keep him off the tables and out of the sink i have a used water bottle i keep next to the couch that has a couple of pebbles in it. when i see him misbehaving i shake it. it's loud and he hates it. i hate it too but it works. believe it or not my 8 year old sister started this.
