I have a 5 month old pom and when I got him at 9 weeks he weighed about 1 pound and since then he has not really grown much more he weighs about 2 pounds probably less is he ever going to hit a growth spurt???

He's probably just going through a slower growth. 5 months is still pretty young as well. Just keep feeding him nutritous food and I'm sure he'll grow in time :D

Have you weighed him lately? He may weigh more than you think.

some say that small breeds don't stop growing completely until 2 years, so give him time, and if not, enjoy your tiny little guy! my chi was 2 lbs at 5 months and stayed that way until now being 2.4 lbs at 9 months because i've let him get a little on the chubby side now.

My Rosco, he was 1.5 lbs at 3 months and then at 6 he was 3, now he is almost 1year (OMG) 12/8, and he is a whopping 4.5 lbs. I love him that size though. I agree enjoy it. My other dog (Max, same mom & dad) is 11 lbs and only a yr older. Max stopped growing around 1yr, depends on the dog I guess. How big were the parents? That should give you a good idea. Max & Rosco's gramma was 3.5 lbs (she only had one litter and didn't make it). LOL

    Keep us updated.

Hopefully he grows a little more as that is kinda on the small side. My poms wiegh 5 and 7 lbs. Fifi is 7 and little on the chunky side. We got Belle when she was 6 monthsand she wieghed around 3lbs and now at 2 yrs she is only 5lbs.
