ok..i suppose I should probably put a picture up. This one is about 4 years old...but hey..I'm always on the other side of the camera, who else would take pictures of the dog?

Better late than never (I hope!) I finally got a new digital! Here are a few pics of my boys Nicholaus & Alexander and one of me (that I don't really like, but then I never like any pics of myself!)

I'm glad to be able to meet all of the newest picture posters!!

Sarge'smom: You have such adorable little boys. Those are precious pictures of them playing in the leaves.

Someday: You're so pretty! You resemble the girl that plays Carly on the Soap "General Hospital." VERY PRETTY!

aceNsummer: You're right, you look like a "Sweet Sixteen." Summer is so cute! Is she dressed up for Holloween in that picture?

BXRchicProPit: WELCOME!! Nice to meet you. You are a very pretty girl. And I just love your little Boxer Girl. What a DOLL!!

Well, I'm new here (just registered) so I thought I'd introduce myself.

My name's Krystina and I live in the Niagara Region of Ontario ... I'm 21, and have 3 beautiful dogs, 4 fish tanks and 2 hamsters (I'd have a couple cats too, but my mom's allergic  ) My oldest is my baby-girl. She's pushing 11 years old now, and is a purebred Basset Artésien Normand (BAN). My parents adopted her when I was 12 years old from the local humane society after we had to give away our first dog due to size restrictions.

Sheena was a wolf/husky/shepard mix and at 5 months old was already getting too large for our small backyard. I was devestated that we had to get rid of her, but my uncle opted to take her into his home and still has her to this day.

Dasher, while stubborn and full of attitude, has been the love of my life since they brought her home for me. I can't imagine living without a basset, and she's a very special one. Her fitness level is beyond what anybody can imagine for a breed of her nature. Bassets tend to become overweight easily as a result of overfeeding and stereotyping, but Dasher has been resting at a comfortable 34-38 lbs over the last 8 years.

The middle-child is a female black lab named Chayanne. She's my mom's baby. Large for her breed, but every ounce protective and loving of her family. What's strange about her is even though she was never trained to be a guard-dog (and isn't exactly a breed with a vicious nature), she is every bit as aggressive towards unwanted company as a fully-trained police dog might be. While it can be good sometimes, it's safer to have her chained or locked up when any delivery person shows up.

The baby of the bunch is a one-year old male yellow lab named Bear. He's taking on a bit of Chayanne's protectiveness, but is still a puppy at heart and just wants to be loved and pet by everyone. He's getting to be a big boy now, full of muscle and power. He loves to play and his whole body shakes when he wags his tail. He's the most well-behaved out of all 3, well tempered and can be taken out without a leash and won't leave my side. A surprise turn-out for a puppy who was bought for $50 from a flea infested house where none of the animals were really cared for.

As for picture, this one of me was taken just now with my sister's digital camera. It's not the greatest quality, but it will have to do until I find a good one. I will add pics of my pups in a few minutes when I get them scanned.

Sorry about the long post, but I just wanted everyone to get to know my dogs, as they mean the world to me. It seems that everyone here loves their companions as much as I love mine :)

oh my!! that's so close it's scary! Bear even crosses his paws like that LOL ... wow ... 80lbs, eh? Bear's only about 65 right now, but he just turned a year old this summer, so I'm expecting him to fill out a bit more.

Duke is gorgeous though. I love the labs. They're all beautiful :)
