I don't know if my new shihpoo is eating enough - help!

I have had my shihpoo since Wednesday afternoon and I am not sure if she is eating enough. I am giving her Eukanaba small breed puppy dry food. I have mixed it with the wet food which she doesn't seem to like. The breeder gave me something called "dyne" to put on her food iof she wasn't eating, but she doesn't seem so keen on this. She picks at her food. How much should I expect her to eat in a day without panicking? She doesn't seem hungry or lethargic at all.

    Thanks!

Hi cleosmommy! I just wanted to say that when I got my shihpoo Lobo a couple weeks ago, he didn't eat very much the first week. He wouldn't even finish 1/4 a cup of dry food. I think it was mostly because he was a little too excited and nervous to have a big appetite. About a week later though, he started eating everything in site and he could easily finish the amount of food I give him everyday. :D

You may have to sit with him, put kibble to his mouth and coax him to eat. Thats what i did. Four feeding times a day for pups younger than 4 months. I just grabbed a handfull and fed her, if she seed to want more, I'd give a little more. How old is your pup. Right now mine gets 1/4 cup three times a day. She's 4 months.
