I think My budgie hurt its wing because it is at the bottom of its cage. Please tell me what should I do,it doesnt look that serious so should i just wait for a little while because it just happened last night. He just sits at the bottom of the cage and he tries to move using its beak and its feet and tries to fly a little bit.So should i just for a day or two and maybe his wing will get back better again,THANK YOU :( [/i]

I would Take him to an avian vet just to make sure he is ok as he will get depressed very quickly if he can not move properly and this will result in him not eating.

How did he hurt his wing?

Uh-oh! I agree with Mike. Try to get him to an avian vet as soon as possible. IN the meantime, put his food at the bottom of the cage so he can eat. Is he hand tame? If so, you might want to try lifting him out of the cage and gently looking him over. Here are some things to look for:

Is his wing drooping very low?

When he tries to fly, does he use one wing?

Is he listing to one side, with his wing spread limply across the floor?

If yes, he very likely broke a wing. Other things to consider are injured legs.

    Can he perch?

    Does he walk around okay?

Does he hold his foot up?

Hope this helps and I hope your baby is okay!
