    this is codie (blonde one) and her momma shasta (red one)....they hadn't seen each other in a while and the got to play tonight....they both have character :p .....shasta belonds to my mom...and of course codie is my baby!!!

    codie looks so small in the chest right now... i am getting a tread mill this week for her ...shhhh actually for me...hehehe...i think the puppies are taking a lot out of her to!!!...also i have a correction my hubby weighed her a week before she had her babie and i had said she weighed 70lbs...eek wrong i took her to the vet today she weighs 41 lbs...vet said i was crazy if i thought she weighed 70 lbs when she was prego....lol...but she is in good condition i got a :y_the_best:

    Heya,

    They are pretty dogs. Its wierd the lighter one looks like my black boxer/lab mix. What are yours??? The same? maybe Pit/lab mixes??

    She's still young, and probably has some filling out to do. Usually their chest doesn't completely drop until they're around 2, and some continue to fill out until 3 yrs even. Keep any work you do with her light until around 18 months or so, then you can gradually increase the intensity of it.

    Forgot to mention, some dogs do not ever develop wide chests. Genetics plays a strong role in how a dog develops, and there isn't much a person can do to change that. I wouldn't worry about it, the breed is supposed to be strong, but also agile, so those barrel chests you see some dogs with are incorrect. Your girl looks to be about the norm for correct APBTs.

    its WIERD..the 3rd picture looks JUST like my mix cept my mix is black!!!!! ill have to try to recreate the pose . its creepy! looks like my baby got her fur bleached!!! :p
