Hey eveyrone.. well I got another 2 budgies today... I was a little dissapointed that when I brought them home I realized that one was a baby which I am very happy about.. though the other one has a white iris around the pupil so I thin this means it is older and his beak is really really blue.. so how old is he at least by having the white circle??
    Thanks

    Congratulations on the new additions.
The younger the bird the easier to hand tame.

You can tell the age of the bird by how blue his cere is and if there are any black barring on his head.

A male bird over 12months old will have a very bright blue prominent cere and have no barring to his head.
Younger males have duller ceres and barring.

here is a link to some pictures
Notice how blue the cere is in the adult males in pictures 4-5
