My heart goes out to you, hon! I am sorry to hear the kittens are having a rough time. It is never easy going through a situation like this where you feel absolutely helpless. Sounds like you are doing the best you can, I will send some positive energy your way.

thank you hun.....its hard to listen to them cry...the mom is a new mother she is only about a year old...and see if very green...she keeps moving around and is keeping them very warm how ever not doing to well with holding still to them feem...so i hope they pull through...its hard to look at them becuase their lips aren't formed all the way nor is there nose..and its sad to look them and just know they probably won't make it..its her first litter and will be her last..i am going to get her spayed as soon as i can....

A spayed kitty is always best, unless for specific breeding purposes, I think. Sounds like mom is trying the best she can under the circumstances. Is there a local SPCA near you? I know they will take the kitties for you. I know it's hard to think about, but if they are not fully formed as you have said, it might be best to have them put to sleep. There may be internal deformation you can't know about. :( I will continue to keep you and your babies in my thoughts.

So sorry your going through this with the kittens, Ive 'fostered' quite a few newborns over the years and I know how heartbreaking it is when you just cant do anything to help them. :(

well i lost another....she just died....so i hope the other one makes until my mom gets home..so that i can start to feed her with the kmr milk..and try to keep her as warm as possible....i will give a wekk if she doesn't perk up and start gaining wait then i will take her and the mother to the spca....its hard to do but the mother cat is extremly wild ive beeen working with her for as long as i had her and no progress....her brother is doing very well you can walk up to him and pet him atleast....i don't think Lilith understands what going on.....my old cat used to have kittens all the time...so im not used to loseing any of the babies..so its hard for me to fathem the fact that ive lost two so far...i just hope the little one makes it...she is the smalledst out of all three of them...and im hopeing she does..thenk you all for your support

I'm so sorry :( The same thing happened to my mother and her cat a few months ago. Fox (her cat) had a normal litter on time, but they all died one after another, probably because the momma cat didn't produce enough milk... It was really sad and heartbreaking, especially for my mother (who's name is also Brit btw)

I really hope the last kitten will make it through [-o<

well saldy i got home from work..to hear from my mom..that the lst has died...its very heart breaking for me...since ive never lost a kitten before...in way im so upset..but in a nother way im relieved...just for the simple fact that they aren't going to suffer anymore.....the momma cat isn't taking well tho....when i get home....she had attack my mom....trying to protect her last kitten although she was dead...i had to pick her up..and hold her while my boyfriend picked her up for me....Lil..(momma cat) is upset i think...she was just meowing in her basket and growling nad hissing protecting the poor little baby..i felt so bad for her....but the little ones won't suffer anymore../sigh...its still very hard

When you said it looks like their lips and noses weren't formed all the way, it sounds like they were born with a cleft lip and palate. If that's the case, there isn't much you can do for them. They really can't nurse effectively. It's sad, I know.

It's really important that you have the mother spayed as soon as possible. Cleft palate is concidered to be inherited, and she'll only end up having more kittens that will either have the same thing, or carry the genes that are responsible for causing it.
