    Hello All,
I recently got a new RBP and its 'small flapping fins on the sides' look like they are deterioating? It seems like it from rubbing on stuff... the glass and rocks... As you can tell i am not an expert but an enthusiast i am!
If anyone is familiar it would help...

may the force be with you

    thanks,

    PZA

Sounds like fin rot (a bacterial infection). What are your readings for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte?

    nitrite and nitrate

My fish has frayed fins and I checked my levels with a stick tester and it was not as 'pink' as the indicator recommended, however, there was some color to it...
The ammonia was indicated safe but was a bit on the dark side
    What shall I do

Can you give me the exact numbers?

I'd start by doing water changes to try to get the ammonia and nitrIte readings down to 0. And treat with an antibiotic like Maracyn-two.
