need help...guppie's eyes are dark...don't know what's wrong

    My guppie's eyes are so dark, I don't know if it's bad or not :|

    Can you post a pic? What are your readings for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte?

    are you talking about guppy fry? if so, I noticed that if you look at the fyrs eyes from straight on they look completly balck, but if you look from another angle you can see the pupil perfectly.

    No, it's not guppy fry, but I don't think it's a disease either. Sometimes it changes back to normal when I took a look again.

    It's probably just the way the light is hitting the eye.

    When I look at it another angle, it still looks dark.

    I had that happen to my mollies a while back. They would get black streaks on their fins, and their eyes would go dark, then they would be all white again the next day. It was on and off all the time... but i think it was definitly a disease because they all died later on. I was told that it was ammonia burn, but the ammonia was perfectly fine every time I checked it. I dont have any answers to your problem, but I can say that you probably have what I had, and its not just the way you are looking at the fish. (dont worry, your not going crazy :wink: )
