Freckles meets a Great Pyr

For some reason Freckles is fascinated by very large dogs that he meets at the dog park. He gets in their face and sometimes barks wanting to play. I have seen him do this with a Saint Bernard, a Great Dane, a Newfie, and yesterday he met his first Great Pyr.
Got this photo. Remember Freckles is a sixty pound dog so I can't imagine what the Great Pyr must weigh. :D

    Nice pic.

I've noticed that with Indy (st. bernard), the other dogs are either scared of him or are obsessed with him. Something about him being bigger; its like they think they can do whatever they want to him. There is this golden retriever at the dog park that just goes to town on Indy whenever he sees him, and there are these little pugs that do the same thing. ? Even Indy is that way b/c most of hte other dogs at hte park are a lot smaller than him so he has to watch himself playing with them; but then there is this huge great dane (not bigger but taller - like 6 ins taller) that Indy LOVES b/c he can really play the way he likes to play (rough!) with him.

    Great pic.

Rocky (my Yorkie) is fascinated by large dogs. He's rather play with them than dogs his own size. I guess it shows that he really doesn't realize how small he is.

Bonnie seems afraid of big dogs. I thought dogs didn't judge each other by size, but now that I think about it I have no idea where I got such a notion. Bonnie snapped at a Great Dane at the park when he wouldn't get out of her face despite many of her signals that she wanted him to go away. He left then, but not before he bowled into me and almost broke my leg! I still have the bruise, weeks later. Man, was he a gorgeous animal, though!

you should see my parents shitsu trying to get into the middle of it when Jake and WYlie play , that is an accident waiting to happen. I dont think she know she is this tiny thing and getting underfoot of 160# doens tbother her. But I would not let that happen, ahd sho her away
