what to do what to do!!! she is not using litter box. She dislikes my new tom cat immensely.... hes neutered. But she has not accepted him. She used to be the queen bee, now new kitten has entered her fold. And shes furious.

    Welcome to the Board, 5kitties.

It does take time for an older kitty to get used to a new kitty in the house. I have heard that adult cats will accept kittens better than another adult cat, so since you got a kitten, that should hopefully make it easier.

I might be a good idea to keep them separated for a little while and then introduce them slowely to one another. Another thing to try is to pet one kitty with a towel and then pet the other kitty with the same towel so they will get used to each other's scent.

Be patient and kind. It may take time but I'm sure they will adjust to one another.
    :)

Another tip is to put vanilla essence (sp?) ont the base on the tail on both cats. The vanilla smell covers the cats own smell.

    Good luck :y_the_best:

:m23: and welcome! Slow intro is a great idea and so is the vanilla idea. As for the litter, try the Dr. Elsey cat attract formula (Petsmart). Also use separate litters for them and give her extra attention and play time. Do you have any pics of your furbabies?

More about the saga of old versus new

 Thank you for your input, thinking of the kitty litter, failed to mention Gessie has been here a year, and the older cat has been very mean to him. She had gotten alot of attention priviously, and just hasnt learned to share. But I will keep up on my cats, here, this is enjoyable to be able to visit and talk. :m4:
